Having grown up in the environment of free-thinking Venice, California, William has approached life and business with an attitude of imagination. The years of assembling gingerbread houses during Christmas led William to a life in restaurants that resulted in experiences working with the US Culinary Olympic Team, Top Chefs and Celebrity Chefs of many calibers. Along the way, he picked up degrees and recognition from UNLV, the Culinary Institute of America and the Court of Master Sommeliers. The creative juices overflowed into entrepreneurial ambitions with several start-up marketing companies that have produced award winning campaigns for clients such as Dunkin’ Donuts. Currently working with FBG Social Media Services as Senior Product Manager, William has been instrumental in
developing The Social Office Suite and Socially Fit products.

After 3 1/2 years at Greenspun Media Group, I returned back to Lamar Outdoor, where I was at for 9 years before GMG.

Jim has been an active member of AMA-LV for 11 years and has been on the Executive Board for 4 consecutive years as VP of Membership Relations.

Jennifer L. Nash
Ballard Spahr LLP

Jennifer Nash moved to Las Vegas from Philadelphia, PA last April. In her current role as Regional Marketing Specialist for a national full-service law firm with over 500 attorneys in eleven offices, Jennifer creates and executes marketing and business development plans for individual lawyers, practice groups and the office as a whole.

She also handles the public relations, media outreach, advertising and event planning for the office and conducts research on potential and current clients. Jennifer has a background in marketing, communications and brand management.

She is also a member of the Legal Marketing Association, Junior League of Las Vegas and Vegas Young Professionals. Jennifer’s prior experience serving as VP of Hospitality give her an excellent springboard into this new role.

Steve McCracken

Steve McCracken is a Senior Vice President with Bank of America. In his role as the Market Manager, he is responsible for the bank's brand, marketing, sponsorship, public relations and charitable giving in Nevada, Colorado and Utah. McCracken has worked for Bank of America for 19 years in a variety of roles, including seven years in the Corporate Sports and Sponsorship Marketing department.

McCracken currently serves on the boards of the American Marketing Association – Las Vegas Chapter, The First Tee of Southern Nevada and The Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame.

McCracken received his Bachelor of Arts from William Jewell College and his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.

Sara comes to the AMA Board with 10 years experience in the Entertainment & Hospitality Industry. She started her career in Tennessee and has been working in the Las Vegas market for the last 5 years.

Sara is currently the Events Manager for Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville and is responsible for special events and promotional marketing activities. She is also a member of the Las Vegas Hospitality Association, National Association of Catering Executives, and serves on the board for Convention Services Association.

Tanya Busse moved to Las Vegas from Milwaukee, WI back in 2007. Starting out her first years of marriage in New Jersey, she has slowly worked her way towards the West and resides in Henderson, NV with her three children and husband.

Tanya is currently working at Sky High Marketing in business development. She is responsible for meeting other business entrepreneurs in the community through networking. She is also a member of the Las Vegas and Latin Chambers, LV Territory, as well as helps out with membership for the Society for Marketing Professional Services.

Having been an active member with the Las Vegas American Marketing Association for four years, she is looking forward to being involved in her new position on the AMA board.

Cindy Fox is the Director of Marketing for Nevada Ballet Theatre, a 501 C (3), nonprofit performing arts organization here in Las Vegas. She is a founding board member of two arts initiatives: IMPACT, an Arts and Cultural Collaborative; and CEMA ] The Jewish Center for Education, Media and the Arts.

She has served on the MetroArts Councils planning committee; and also serves on the Cirque du Soleil Global Citizenship Divisions artists grant panel. She began her career working for high tech and financial services organizations, launching new leading edge products and services and providing strategic marketing expertise to a variety of organizations including Sprint, GTE Telenet and MCI.

Subsequently, Cindy moved into the non]profit, trade association world providing her passion and energy for results marketing and communications for international associations and national nonprofit organizations.

Moving to Las Vegas in 2002, she was surprised to find there IS culture here in the desert and has worked tirelessly to support the arts in the Valley and drive the balletfs efforts above the noise level.

Jennifer Balsat is the marketing manager for the Las Vegas Monorail Company, where she is responsible for corporate and leisure sales, marketing and promotional activities.

Prior to joining the Monorail team, she worked in travel and tourism sales and marketing positions for Papillon Airways, Inc. and CSI: The Experience. Although she now enjoys her life on land, Jennifer began her career as a professional singer and traveled the world aboard various cruise ships.

Jennifer is a native of Ohio, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Otterbein College. She moved to Las Vegas in 2009 and discovered her love for Sin City. Jennifer greatly looks forward to her first year of serving on the AMA Board.

Meeting Planner Resources, LLC is the publisher of Meetings and Events Las Vegas a bi-annual publication distributed nationally and internationally by request to Business Meeting Planners, Conventions and Associations that are planning an event or meeting in the Las Vegas area. As the Associate Publisher, Jennifer has overseen the editorial, advertisements, marketing, circulation and the dedicated team at the publication for over 5 years. Relocation Resources publishes local relocation guides that are distributed by request to corporate relocations, individuals and families relocating to the Las Vegas Valley prior to their arrival. Both publications are in print and interactive online.

Jennifer graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications and Marketing and completed an Executive Leadership Program at Cornell University. She currently serves on the Las Vegas Territory State Board of Tourism as the Marketing Director, the S. Nevada Medical Industry Coalition (SNMIC), the Nevada Restaurant Association Event Committee and was the Vice President of Sponsorship for 4 years prior to becoming the Vp of Programming for the Las Vegas chapter of the American Marketing Association.

She enjoys being involved in the community and focuses on assisting individuals with developmental disabilities and underprivileged families in S. Nevada.

Travis Herriford

A native of Illinois, Travis attended Eureka College, a small private college, where he
received his undergraduate degree in Marketing/Communications. Upon graduation, he
jumped right into the world of television beginning his career at WMBD-TV and WYZZ-TV a CBS/FOX combo in Peoria, IL. While at the stations he worked in both sales and sales management assisting local and regional businesses with their marketing plans. After a four and a half year stint in Illinois, it was time for warmer weather and sunny skies.

Travis has spent the past five years of his marketing career on the sales team at FOX5 Local Las Vegas. ‘Changing gears and moving to Las Vegas was a great decision! FOX5 really understands what it means to market on various levels. It’s a rewarding feeling to consult with a business owner, help them diversify their marketing portfolio, and see them get greater results.”

Dean White

H. Dean White is a native of the Chicago area and a long suffering Cubs fan. Dean has been with the Review-Journal for 18 years. Prior to moving to Las Vegas he worked 5 years for the Chicago Tribune.

Dean is active in a number of non-profits and serves on several community boards. He is an avid cyclist and reader.

Dean holds a Bachelors degree from Northern Illinois University, and an MBA from UNLV. In 2003 He attended the Advanced Executive Program at the Media Management Institute at Northwestern University. He is currently the Lead Marketing Faculty for the University of Phoenix Las Vegas Campus.

Lisa Sexton

Lisa is a 48 year resident of Las Vegas and has worked for Southwest Gas 31 of those years. The last 13 years of Lisa’s Southwest Gas (SWG) career she has worked in the
Marketing/Energy Services Department. Lisa supervises others who are involved in direct advanced, complex, technical and procedural assistance to 1.8 million customers in Arizona, California and Nevada.

Administrates SWG referral program – exercise and implement control over 600 contractors and appliance dealers, specific operations, approved policies and procedures of program. Examines trends and develop, implement and manage programs to build load and revenue for the company.

Lisa recently received high honors in completing a Marketing Certification program developed by Dr. Gillian Silver-Rodis, ABC. Lisa also received a prestigious Aspire award from Southwest Gas for her recent program partnership with Home Depot in providing discounts and low cost services to Southwest Gas customers.

We look forward to tapping Lisa for fresh perspectives as she gets acclimated to the AMA board.

Jessica Hird
Marketing Professional Las Vegas

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jessica Hird graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.A. in Theater Arts. Besides her Girl Scout cookie selling days, she counts her formative marketing lessons coming from numerous hours hawking tickets on the street outside the Edinburgh Fringe Theater Festival Box Office as a teenager.

Since then, as part of the Marketing Departments of TheatreWorks and Berkeley Repertory Theatre, she has managed programs for improving ticket sales, targeting and database management. Her time as the Marketing Manager at Ticketmaster has been marked by the launch of campaigns for clients such as Miss America, Cirque du Soleil, Disney, and AEG and leading the company to define and adapt products for destination marketing.

She has written for Stage Directions magazine about developing interactive marketing for theater and is also a member of the Las Vegas Interactive Marketing Association and the Las Vegas Regional Ticketing Association.

With over 15 years of marketing, analysis and management experience in both the public and private sector, Maggie Waddoups has been involved in the Travel, Media, Commercial Realty, and the Exhibition Industries.

Maggie originally started her career as an economic analyst but quickly changed careers to online marketing during the dotcom boom in the 1990s. She has worked as management positions in e-commerce, research, marketing and online accounts.

Her experience also includes two published articles in academic journals, and was awarded the distinguished Excellence in Postgraduate Coursework Award - Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, 2004. She served on the board of AMA Las Vegas Chapter for years 2008-2010.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Master of eCommerce Marketing from Griffith University (Brisbane, AUS).
